My name is Giancarlo Osaben, I'm a New York City based photographer and actor.  As a performer myself, I know what it's like to have a headshot that doesn't showcase you in the way that you want.  Going into an audition, there's already so many variables that are out of your hands, why not set yourself up for success before you even step foot into the room?  I'm here to help so that your headshot isn't one of those variables and you can feel good about what you are bringing to the table (as a representation of yourself).

I like to think of a headshot as a freeze-frame example of you on your best day.  I'm not necessarily talking about a "million dollar lotto ticket" kind of day but something more achievable, like a good hair day on a Tuesday.  Your headshot should showcase a best-case-scenario version of yourself, but it should also be recognizably you (with both your personality and look coming through first and foremost); in an ideal world, your headshot should match yourself at the audition.  There's so many extra little details that factor into the perfect headshot but your personality and look should be showcased first and foremost.
 
Your comfort is of utmost importance to me for the shoot and to that end, I'm willing to work with you to create the type of environment to deliver a natural and relaxed setting for us to shoot.  A photoshoot is a collaboration between a photographer and a subject and we'll work together to create a product you can be happy with at the end of the day.  Whether it's in a studio (for a sharp-focused portrait) or outdoors (for something a little more natural), together we'll find what works best for you so I can deliver you a headshot that you can be proud of.  I want to deliver you a picture that you are proud of, where you can honestly say that this represents you.
